Shortly after moving to Austin, I attended culinary school where I learned to brew kombucha, a happy accident that turned into a full-blown passion. That path led me to Apple’s Austin campus, where I worked at the juice and smoothie bar and created my own recipes that caused the bar to grow in popularity. I also started brewing kombucha there and when it took off, I left to start my own business.
I built Bruja’s Brew from the ground up designing the branding, website, packaging, and social media, all while producing kombucha wholesale and in my food trailer (that I renovated with my mom! Check it out here). Through COVID, I pivoted, rebranded, and launched Cereus Brew, evolving with the times. But when the dust settled, I realized what lit me up most wasn’t the business itself — it was design.
While I wasn't always doing design full-time, I've been steadily building and applying these skills across branding, digital interfaces, and service design since 2017. UX/UI and graphic design give me the perfect outlet for everything I love: color, organization, empathy, storytelling, and intuitive systems. Now, I get to combine structure with creativity, and feeling with function and that’s what makes it magic.
Aside from work, you can catch me at live music shows around town, crafting and DIY, and of course continuously collecting new artistic hobbies. Soon I'll be making a new totem for the ACL music festival this fall! Check out my instagram to see the magical totem I made last year.
