Cereus Brew (est. 2022)
After Covid hit, I almost shut Bruja's Brew down. Running a trailer, a kombucha microbrewery, and a grab-n-go sandwich business, while also managing a team, was more than I could sustainably carry. I knew something had to give. So I simplified. I closed the trailer, stopped the food production, and focused entirely on what I loved most: brewing small-batch kombucha and selling it wholesale.
With that shift came a new identity. I wanted the brand to reflect the resilience, quiet magic, and stripped-back beauty of this new chapter. I chose the name Cereus—inspired by the cactus that blooms in the dark only one night a year. Its rare nocturnal flowers symbolize mystery, endurance, and transformation, which felt like the perfect metaphor for this rebirth.
To bring the new vision to life, I collaborated with designer Teri Sutherland to co-create the new logo Cereus Brew. The result was a brand that felt high-end, captivating, and authentically me.
